will include the StarFabric backplane (which Bustronic has been
developing), the cPSB backplane (PICMG 2.16), the VME320 backplane,
and optical backplanes. NextGenBackplanes.com highlights include
background on the technologies, technical articles, a "latest
news" section, and industry links. Content on the site will
be updated on a periodic basis as developments progress.
The site also features technology developments that advance
next-gen backplane technology. Partners such as StarGen and
Agere Systems (formerly the Microelectronics Group of Lucent
Technologies) have their product advancements for StarFabric
listed on the site. For the VME320, General Micro Systems has
posted their OmniVME chip. Performance Technologies has also
provided some content for the cPSB (Ethernet) backplane section.
