2.16 Update (cPSB Backplane)
- The latest face-to-face meeting was held on June 12 in Chicago.
The purpose of the meeting was to complete the specification in
preparation for review by the general PICMG body. Resonance simulation
had been performed to see if terminators were required. The simulations
proved that terminators were not needed and they will not be referenced
in the specification. The rest of the meeting was spent reviewing
the specification. No technical changes were made, but many suggestions
were made that will be incorporated into the next revision. The
walkthrough was completed and a call for participation (CFP) for
final subcommittee balloting is in process. The CFP is sent out
to the PICMG members who will review the specification and vote
whether to approve it or not. The CFP ends July 3rd. Once the
voting group approves the specification, it goes on to the Executive
Committee for approval.
