34 Mechanicals
- At the March VSO meeting several task groups were formed within
the VITA 34 task group. The groups include mechanicals, cooling,
power, and software. Bustronic is a member of the mechanical task
group. The initial meetings of the task groups took place at the
May VSO meeting and the mechanical task group has been meeting
weekly via teleconference. A draft specification is in development.
The group is exploring interconnect architectures and a serial
mezzanine interface. Members are gathering data on electrical
and optical connectors. Simulations will most likely be required
on the electrical connectors. More to come.
