Bustronic Partners with PLX Technologies
- Bustronic has partnered with PLX Technologies to develop backplanes
based on the GigaBridge PCI switching architecture. The GigaBridge
Switched-PCI Controller implemented with the new backplanes
offer up to 224 PCI bus segments, with more than 50Gbps performance.
GigaBridge is a scalable, highly available, self-healing topology
for communications equipment requirements of OC12 to OC48 trunk
speeds and beyond. The backplanes will be designed in the CompactPCI
form factor -- 100 percent compatible with standard CompactPCI
cards and the PICMG 2.0 R3.0 basic specification.
