The 8-slot VXS backplane features 1 hub slot and 7 payload slots in a Star topology. Bustronic offers a wide range of VXS backplanes in Star, Dual Star, VXS/VPX Hybrid, and Switchless Mesh formats.

VPX Extender Board - Coming Soon! |
The VPX Load Board aids the system designer in assuring adequate chassis cooling and verifying that the VME chassis is capable of meeting the power requirements of the system. 6U and conduction-cooled versions are coming soon.

The VPX extender boards are designed to bring a circuit card completely out of a card cage or enclosure so that it can be tested or debugged. This provides access to both sides of the test board. There are test points for all of the differential pairs on the MultiGig fabric connector.

A new specification related to VITA 60 has begun work. It is called VITA 64--Optimized footprint for incorporation of 3 guides and quick disconnects. VITA 60 is an alternative connector for VPX that is pcb compatible, but not mechanically interoperable with the VITA 46 standard.
