Bustronic has been the undisputed leader in VPX backplanes and system accessories for years now.  As the architecture adopts OpenVPX design principles for system interoperability and goes through VITA 65, Bustronic will continue to lead the way.   We’ve created a wealth of tools for those looking for more information on OpenVPX.  This includes datasheets, a white paper, reference sheets, and much more.  

The VPX backplanes at Bustronic are all being upgraded to include OpenVPX design principles for system interoperability.   OpenVPX was initiated to provide definitions for modules types, so that users will know which boards will work interoperable in which backplane configurations. (More)


 
2 Slot VPX Test Backplane
 
VPX Universal RTM
  

Bustronic now offers a 2-slot test backplane for VPX board developers and integrators to power up and test their cards.   The unique test backplane offers extra spacing for probes, and various options for testing the signals.

 

The Universal VPX RTM Breakout Board can allow a test engineer to access I/O signals on custom built VPX boards. The board would not be intended for high-speed signals but would typically be used to bring out single ended TTL signals that might be part of a customer’s custom IO board.
   
6U VPX Load Board
AdvancedTCA Backplane with Z-Plane Links

This 6U version joins our VPX Load Board family, which includes 3U and 6U, and conduction-cooled versions (coming soon).   The boards allow the test engineer to apply various voltages to the VPX system for testing.   

 

The new backplane with links offers up to triple the performance of traditional versions of the architecture at a reduced cost. This is achieved using the Z-Plane Links which carry the high speed signals and long traces via a small PCB board that plugs directly into the rear of the backplane.
