Bustronic has been the undisputed leader in VPX backplanes and system accessories for years now.  As the architecture adopts OpenVPX design principles for system interoperability and goes through VITA 65, Bustronic will continue to lead the way.   We’ve created a wealth of tools for those looking for more information on OpenVPX.  This includes datasheets, a white paper, reference sheets, and much more.

The VPX backplanes at Bustronic are all being upgraded to include OpenVPX design principles for system interoperability.   OpenVPX was initiated to provide definitions for modules types, so that users will know which boards will work interoperable in which backplane configurations.

Check out Bustronic’s wide range of VPX backplanes.   Further, the company is second-to-none when it comes to VPX system accessories.  Our innovations include a unique rigid-flex design for a VPX extender card.  This was necessary as the right-angle mating connector was not available for a standard extender configuration.   Other unique VPX accessories include load boards in 3U and 6U sizes, which allow the test engineer to apply various voltages to the system for testing.  Conduction-cooled versions are coming soon.

Bustronic also offers VPX air blocker/baffles to fill unused slots and help redirect (or contain) airflow paths.  Finally, our VPX SerDes test modules act as a “signal health monitor” to quickly do BER testing, generate Eye Diagrams, etc.    Of course, the chassis plays an important part in VPX systems.  Cooling, power, shock isolation, etc, are all important considerations in most VPX applications.  Our sister company, Elma Electronic Inc, offers an extensive range of modular enclosures, ATRs, and unique VPX solutions.   With our acquisition of ACT/Technico in January 2009, we now offer integrated product options for VPX boards and modules.  Let Bustronic be your resource for everything VPX and OpenVPX.
