BUSTRONIC
ANNOUNCES NEW LINE OF "CLASSIC" 6U VME64X BACKPLANES
FREMONT, California, Aug. 18, 2003 - Bustronic Corporation, an industry
leading designer and manufacturer of high performance backplanes,
has announced a new product line of "classic" 6U VME64x backplanes.
This new series compliments Bustronic's existing 7U VME64x line.
The Classic
6U VME64x series features power taps for 3.3V, 5V, +/- 12V, and
GND above and below the slots. This allows the backplane to remain
in a 6U height for applications that require the restricted size.
Bustronic's standard 7U VME64x has an extra 1U of height for more
power bugs, which are all located at the bottom of the backplane
for cabling ease. In side-to-side airflow chassis, the 7U backplane
can also act as an air baffle to redirect and optimize airflow.
For applications where space constraints demand a more condensed
backplane, the 6U VME64x offers an attractive alternative.
The 6U VME64x
line is initially offered in 8, 12, and 21 slots. All of Bustronic's
VME64x backplanes meet or exceed ANSI/VITA 1.1-1997, VME extensions
standard and ANSI/VITA 1-1994 and IEEE P1014 specifications. Features
include 10-layer controlled impedance stripline design and active
BUSGRANT, IACK daisy chaining. Backplane stiffeners are optional,
which help prevent bowing, increasing the unit's durability and
reliability. |
